UCL: RB Leipzig vs PSG stats, preview and Prediction
RB Leipzig will be keen to halt a run of back-to-back losses when they square up against PSG tomorrow.
Both teams have the same number of points (3) after two games in the UEFA Champions League this season.
But a better goal difference means PSG sit second in the group behind leaders Manchester United.
A little over two months ago, these two teams met in the semi final of this competition where the French champions were inspired to a 3-0 victory by Angel Di Maria.
Not much as changed between them two since then except that Thomas Tuchel will be without some of his most trusted lieutenants in attack.
Neymar and Icardi were already confirmed to miss the match at Red Bull Arena.
And just this afternoon, reports filtered in that Kylian Mbappe will be missing in action too due to a thigh injury.
Tuchel will be hoping for a Moise Kean masterclass but no matter what he does, it will be impossible to replace the quality of the trio.
For Julian Nagelsmann, he will be relieved to some extent especially after United hit five goals past them last week.
RB Leipzig vs PSG Stats
PSG are depleted in attack but could find solace in defence; they’ve kept four cleansheets in five recent outings.
The Parisians barely lose too, they’ve won eight of their last nine games in all competitions.
Leipzig have only lost twice this season; they’ve failed to find the back of the net on both occasions.
It is also interesting to note that both losses have come in the last two games.
Leipzig have won all their matches at the Red Bull Arena this season – PSG have won and kept a cleansheet in all of their last five away games.
The German side have won 8 times in 10 recent UCL games; PSG have 4 wins in 6 games.
Regardless of the result against Manchester United, Leipzig are a very strong side especially when they play at home.
And considering that PSG head into this game with a weakened attack, my money is on the home team to at least get a draw in this game.
Prediction: Leipzig 2-1 PSG
