Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas has confirmed his retirement from professional football.

Ferran Torres had completed his medical ahead of his transfer to Manchester City.

“I’m very happy to sign for City,” he told Man City’s website upon the completion of his transfer.

“All players want to play for attacking teams, and Manchester City are one of the most attacking in the world.

“Pep [Guardiola] is looking for an open and aggressive style, which is something I love.

“He’s a coach known for improving his players, him helping me to develop my game is a dream.

“City have won a lot of titles in the last 10 years and I look forward to helping the club to continue being successful.”

Ferran Torres has signed with the Citizens until 2025.
