Ronaldinho self-isolating after testing positive to COVID-19
Iconic football star Ronaldinho has gone into isolation in Belo Horizonte after testing positive to COVID-19.
The former Brazil and Barcelona star addressed the issue on his Instagram account saying he’s asymptomatic.
‘I’ve been here in BH since yesterday, I came to participate in an event,’ he said on Instagram on Sunday.
‘I took the test and tested positive for Covid. I’m fine, asymptomatic, but we’ll have to leave the event for later. Soon we will be there together. Big hug!’
Ronaldinho joins the list of current and ex-footballers who have tested positive to COVID-19.
The former world footballer of the year won virtually everything on offer during his playing days.
It’s been quite a year for the Brazilian, just less than six months ago he was arrested alongside his brother for attempting to enter Paraguay using fake passports.
He spent four weeks and two days in prison before parting ways with $1.6 million as bail.
The 40-year-old and his brother was allowed to stay in an hotel for the next couple of months under house arrest.
Ronaldinho was granted freedom after judge Gustavo Amarilla conditionally suspended charges against him.
