New Year Day FPL selections for GameWeek 21
Its a few hours to the end of the year and we’re glad to bring you tips that will help your fantasy team start the new year with a bang.
Goalkeeper: Our first choice goalie for this game week is Alison Becker, the Brazilian have a good shield in front of him with Van Dijk and Joe Gomez providing adequate cover for him. The reds have have kept a clean sheet in their last two games against teams that are very potent.
Sheffield United are quite compact on both end of the pitch but Liverpool are actually unplayable nowadays.
Other picks: Schmeichel, Tom Heaton.
Midfielders: Kevin Debruyne, Adama Traore, Felipe Anderson.
KDB needs no introduction to any FPL player, the Belgian is one of the most creative players alive and should play a pivotal role in midfield if Pep Guadiola’s men will grab maximum points against Everton who are currently enjoying a good patch under new manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Our second pick is Adama Traore who seem to have found his feet and place Nuno Espirinto’s team.
The winger was in full gear when Wolves came from two goals behind to upset the champions, the match against Watford tomorrow is a perfect opportunity to improve his stats and show that his performance against Manchester City is not a fluke.
Felipe Anderson is the final piece of our jigsaw in midfield – though just returning from injury, he’s one of Westham’s most creative and productive players.
His link up play with Lazini and other forward players is telepathic, he bagged an assist in the last game and should probably get a couple tomorrow.
Forward: Harry Kane, Vardy and Jimenez
Harry Kane is Tottenham’s Mr consistent this season, his last gasp penalty earned his team a point in the last game against Norwich.
A trip to the Saint Mary’s stadium should produce a goal fest, expect Harry Kane to be part of the party.
Jamie Vardy was rested for Leicester’s 2-1 win away to Westham, the league’s top scorer should return to the starting line up and we expect him to be amongst the goals against Newcastle United on New year’s day.
Raul Jimenez is a key factor to Wolverhampton Wanderers, they’re up against one of the league’s worst defence and he will be looking to add to his tally this season.
