I’m here in Paris – Mbappe reassure fans he’ll remain at PSG next season
Kylian Mbappe has reassured fans he will remain at PSG for at least one more year, quenching rumors of a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
While speaking to BeinSports, the World Cup winner said he’ll play at the Paris based club next season and try to win trophies.
“I am here in Paris and I want to be part of the project,” the young star said. “I will be at PSG next season and I will try to win as many titles as possible.” The Frenchman told BeinSports.
Mbappe also spoke about the iconic forthcoming half-century anniversary for PSG.
“I am in the fourth year of the project. It is an important year as it is the 50th anniversary of the club. This is important in the eyes of the team and the fans, and I will try to win all the possible trophies and aim to do my best.”
These statements by Mbappe will halt talks linking him to Real Madrid for the next few transfer windows but it will definitely not be enough to keep him at PSG for the rest of his career.
Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez confirmed after the club’s La Liga triumph that they won’t be making any big money signing this summer.
Maybe due to the effects of COVID-19.
Sources close to the club believe that the Los Blancos have a plan to sign Mbappe in the coming years.
However that plan has reportedly placed on ice until their finances improve.
For now, Real Madrid are focused on completing the renovation of the Santiago Bernebeu.
PSG unveil 50th anniversary kits
The Ligue one Champions officially launched a new kit to mark their 50th year of existence.
As one of the biggest names associated to the club, Mbappe was one of the players that modelled PSG’s new kit.
I must admit, the kits are a lovely sight to behold.
