Frank Lampard’s faith in youth is beginning to show promise
Chelsea’s trip to the Molineux stadium ripped good fruits as Lampard’s youngsters turned on the heat to dispatch Wolverhampton Wanderers to take their point tally for the Pl season to 8 points.
The Blues were three goals to the good at half-time thanks to a wonder strike by Fikayo Tomori and a brace from Chelsea academy product, Tammy Abraham.
The English man put the ball past Rui Patrício in the 55th minute to complete his hat-trick and justify his starting role in the Chelsea team.
Abraham put the ball in the net again in the 69th minute but this time in the wrong net to give Wolves a slim hope of a possible comeback, Patrick Crutone scored in the 85th minute but Mason Mount’s goal in added time ultimately sealed the win for the visitors despite a late fightback from the home team.
