Bundesliga return: Dortmund vs Schalke preview

I cannot hide the happiness I feel right now knowing that football will return to our screen in eight days. I will be previewing and predicting all the upcoming Bundesliga matches one after the other until it resumes on May 16.

Borussia Dortmund vs Schalke

Dortmund are second on the table, four points Bayern Munich, surprisingly they [Dortmund] have lost the same number of games [four] as the leaders [Bayern Munich].

The only reason they’re second in the league is because they’ve drawn six games compared to Bayern who have drawn four times. Therefore, Dortmund need this result if they’re going to stage a title challenge of any sort.

Schalke on the other hand need the three points to extend distance themselves away from Wolfburg and increase their chances of playing in Europe next season.

At the Signal-Iduna-Park, Dortmund have won 20 out of 47 times, they’ve scored 84 goals in those matches, that’s an average of 1.7 goals per home game. Schalke have won 12 times in 47 away games against Dortmund.
