Bayern approach Napoli with £39m bid for Koulibaly
Bayern Munich have turned their attention to Napoli defender, Kalidou Koulibaly as they look to secure an experienced partner in the heart of the defence for Dayot Upamecano when he joins later this summer.
The 22-year-old Frenchman agreed to move from Bayern Munich to Leipzig for £37m.
The Bavarians are now working to secure the signature of Koulibaly for around £39m.
The Senegalese defender who is currently one of the most experienced centre-backs in the business is also wanted by Manchester United.
But the Germans have played their card first – Koulibaly’s lawyer, Fali Ramadani has officially presented Bayern Munich’s offer to Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis.
But negotiations could stretch well into the summer due to Napoli’s valuation of the player.
