Barcelona, Juventus conclude swap deal for Arthur and Pjanic
Barcelona and Juventus have concluded a swap deal for deal involving Arthur Merlo and Miralem Pjanic according to reports making the rounds.
This deal has dragged on for long because the teams needed to convince both players to agree for the move to be agreed.
Arthur in particular took a bit of time to agree to the move, with every opportunity he got, he spoke clearly of his desire to remain at Barcelona.
Juventus offered him a significant increase on his current earnings with strong assurances that he’ll be a pivotal part of Maurizio Sarri’s squad next season.
Negotiations were less stressful for Barcelona as they had agree personal terms with Pjanic a few weeks ago.
The urge to play for the Spanish giants and a chance to play alongside Lionel Messi is almost too good to resist for any player.
In the end, Arthur Merlo finally agreed yo move to Turin and Pjanic for sure will head in the opposite direction.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal could be completed as early as tomorrow.
Barcelona will receive €10million from Juventus for Arthur Merlo, and Miralem Pjanic will move to the Camp Nou as part of the deal.
