Cristiano Ronaldo makes a trip to Spain as Juventus travel for their UCL clash with Athletico Madrid. Atletico Madrid are very solid in the Champions League when they play at home, winning 2-0 in their last three consecutive home matches. Ironically, the last victim of Atletico’s imperious UCL home form are Juventus. The Italian giants will be hoping history does not repeat itself tonight.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to overturn a 2-0 first leg deficit and knock Atletico Madrid out the last term. He will be hoping to replicate the same performance tonight against an Atletico Madrid side who look depleted in defence.

Atletico Madrid have conceded 2 goals each in two La Liga matches. Juventus conceded twice against Napoli in August which suggests that we might have a goal feast if both sides throw caution to the wind.

Team News:

Antonio Adan is on standby as club doctors continue to monitor Jan Oblak who sustained an head injury in the loss against Real Sociedad.
Thomas Partey (Hamstring) and Alvaro Morata (Knee) are to sit-out Wednesday’s game.

The trio of Douglas Costa, Danilo and Miralem Pjanic could also miss the game. Juan Cuadrado is likely to replace Danilo as a make-shift right back.
